The dryer should work after you remove the clear plastic insulator piece from the LR44 batteries that are pre-installed in the battery compartment (next to the UV Light Switch) of the UV stand, prior to first use.
If you have been using the product for some time, the UV dryer could be low on battery power. Please replace it with a new set of LR44 batteries (requires 3 pieces) on the base of the stand.
