How do I clean the mist output plate as it seems clogged?

The mist output plate may become obstructed or clogged after long periods of inactivity or if you are using tap water.  Try the following steps to clean the mist output plate:

  1. Use a moist q-tip or a q-tip dipped with alcohol rub to clean the mist hole gently.
  2. Use only distilled water, as some places have harder water and hence can cause this issue. We recommend using distilled water only due to the fact that different parts of the country have different amounts of sediment in their tap water. Using this water for an extended period may increase the chances of blockage of the mist output from this sediment. If you do not use distilled water, more frequent cleaning may be required.
